whine is normal - it can be made a less whiny with hydraulic oil change($$$) Foaming is bad - air is getting in there? You full on level ground dip stick wise?My BX has 27 hours on it and when I am in High range it seems to have a whine to it, also I noticed the hydraulic fluid is foaming when it is running. Is this normal?
when you say a little over........give me a fractional number? like 1/8" over or like 1" over???? TOO much can cause a problem too.Actually its a little over the top fill mark.
Might ought to drain out some, lower the level - keep the oil, and if that helps then problem solved. Otherwise you are sucking in air at a suction line somewhere.Just checked, its about 1/4 in over the top line
BTW - the whine is normal. My BX has 27 hours on it and when I am in High range it seems to have a whine to it, also I noticed the hydraulic fluid is foaming when it is running. Is this normal?
I can certainly understand the hauling issue. If it is under warranty, the dealer is supposed to pay hauling both ways. At least my dealer does that. I know the project delay won't be solved by that. The foam is a light brown, it goes away within a minute or two of the tractor being shut off. I overfilled the fluid because a line became loose and I lost some fluid. It's covered up outside and I have not washed it yet. I'm hoping its something simple I can take care of, I hate to haul it an hour to the dealer and let him keep it a few days right as I am in the middle of some projects.
Thanks for your help.
Give this man a Cigar! With only 27 hours on it, this might be a warranty issue. I'd recommend calling the dealer and having them look at it under warranty.
