I just bought a used BX25D. Has 100 hrs on it.

I have been borrowing my uncles BX2350 (700hrs) for the past month or so prior.

The FEL control stick on his was a bit tighter than this one.

Mine seems a bit "sloppy". I asked the guy I bought from, he said it was like that from brand new. I tend to believe him, as he was a pretty straight up guy.

It works fine, just would rather it be a bit "tighter"....

I took the boot and plastic cover off and was able to pull the control arm off and pinch it down in my vise. That tightened up the left to right movement a tiny bit....but it still travels a pretty good distance before I get motion out of the bucket.

I see the connection to the control stick, is an adjustable tie rod.......if I tighten that up will it take some of the slop out?

Wasn't sure if that would mess with the left to right centering of the control stick...

Thanks ahead for any help on this guys.

Apologize ahead if I'm not using correct terminology. I'm pretty new to tractors.....hopefully what I explained will make sense to you guys.

Tony

Take your time before making adjustments. The engine speed makes a big difference on the responsiveness of the hydraulic controls. When you increase the engine speed for more power you may want the controls to be a little less sensitive. To big or to fast of a move with a loaded bucket can get scary.

Yeah, once engaged the hydraulics work fine and are good with sensitivity.

I was talking about the freeplay before the hydraulics engage.....
