I'm attempting to search by phone so maybe I'm at a disadvantage. I need to replace a zerk fitting on my BT601 backhoe that goes to my new to me 2013 BX25. The FEL zerks where 1/4-28 but I'm not sure if the BH is the same since reading all kinds of conflicting material. I tried without success to find a parts diagram of the BH and match the zerk part numbers against the FEL zerks but with this phone it's appears to be impossible. So I figure I'd ask here. Thanks in advance!

Without knowing off the top of my head.....

you can go and get a whole "box" set of different zerks at a place like Tractor Supply or Ag Supply. Even Northern tool has them. I tried to replace one in the MMM and had to go though several sizes to get one to "stay" - seems the old threads were shot!

I am almost sure it is a metric zerk...

Yep, like 85Hokie said, buy yourself a box of each..metric and SAE and you'll be set for a long time. Any auto supply store, farm store, etc.

According to the parts finder on the Kubota web site, the BT601 swing cylinder zerks are 1/8-27NPT (strange size?). Boom zerks are 1/4-28, as are dipper stick. Seems most of the rest are 1/4-28T zerks as well.

OK, I didn't get around to it yesterday, my neighbor was working in his garage and we decided to drink beer instead. I did get to it today, it ended up being a 1/4-28, it was at the end of the large boom where it hinges the small boom.

You can pull it out and take it to the parts house also. But sounds like you got 'er done.

Yeah, I'm new to tractors and it's been a crash course on tractor maintenance, the previous owner was completely inept. Being into boats all my life I'm into maintaining things in new to better than new so I'm quickly learning my way around the little machine I am enjoying it at the same time but do a lot of head shaking at what the PO considered maintenance.
