My rear end locker will not disengage. Last storm I used it a lot because of the snow. Yesterday I pulled it into the garage to service it before the next storm. The rear end wouldn't unlock. Rocked it back and forth slowly, pulled up hard on foot pedal. Turned it in circles both ways hoping it would disengage. Helppppppppppppppppppp!! Is this going to be an expensice repair or did the spring break inside that pulls it out of lock position?

I'm surprised you can steer it with the dif lock engaged. I used the one on my L one time when I was stuck and I couldn't steer it and used both dif lock on my M once when I got cross ways in a ditch and it wouldn't steer. My understanding of the dif lock they are made to get you out of a whole and that's it. They aren't made to engage and keep on running. I may be wrong about that but it sounds like you have a bad problem.

Got to agree with bulldog on this one. When I have needed to use my lock on the B7100 it will only go straight (not steer) because both wheels are turning at same speed not interlocking like a vehicle. Hope you find out its not still locked in and you continued to use it. That might be bad.To release mine I can go in reverse a few feet it will disengage after locking to get out of a hole etc. handy
