finally had time to get under the tractor. broken prop shaft! is this a tough replacement, and should I just bring it to the dealer?
It might or might not require some disassembly, depends on how / where / what it's broken.
Pictures would help.
Most likely there is other other damage too like motor mounts.
It may or may not really be broken, it is a slip shaft coupling.

Do you have KTAC ( did you finance it) or homeowners insurance both will cover things like this.

Gonna need pictures. I'm having difficulty reconciling how a tipover breaks a driveschaft.
More than likely it just slipped out of the couplings.
It does it because the motor mounts break and the engine falls to one side.

How many hours on the tractor? How long have you owned it?

Its a little bit of a pain but not terrible. Remove spacer #125 on the diagram and remove the floorpan and you can wiggle it out of there
going to the dealer. they can fix whatever is needed. the shaft is actually broken in the middle. doubtful that the side roll did that. had to be cracked already. used tractor.

i need to pull it out of where it is and load it on my trailer. front loader bucket is on the ground. if i disco the hydraulic lines to it should i be able to at least curl it up so
it’s not dragging?

No need to disconnect anything.

Put the loader valve in float and use a come-along or something similar to raise and hold the bucket off the ground. Move the valve back to neutral once its up and secured.

Your loader valve has two "lower" positions. When you move the joystick forward to lower the boom you are in the down pressure position. If you push the joystick farther foward you will encounter a mechanical detent that can be overcome with a small amount of added effort. That will move the valve into the fourth "float" position where it locks in place. In that state the loader cylinders are open to tank and will move up and down freely.

You use that float position to allow the bucket to follow the contour of the ground when grading ot pushing material. Have you never used it? If not consult your Operator's Manual.
