I have 1 1/2 " ones on mine for the same reason. It sure made a difference, I'm not near as nervous on the hills as before.

I assume you've removed both BH and FEL while you mow ???
Also you're going UP and DOWN the hill and NOT going sideways ???
As made in the factory, it didn't need wheel spacers when using the MMM.....

The size of your MMM will determine if you could even use spacers!

May I ask what brand product number etc?

Yes, both removed and honestly, a bit of side-to -side but the angle is not great.

I have the 54" cutting deck and think that the spacers should not affect the mower.

With the 54" - 1.5" is max - otherwise the rear tires will rub! 2" will work fine on a 60" mmm.

Raise the mower deck up all the way, and look at the side of the tire and the support that the gage wheels go through and measure the distance between the side of the tire and the gauge wheel Holder.

This will tell you the maximum space you could use. But the deck will shift a little bit, so probably your spacer should be less.

If you don’t want the tire to hit the support for the gauge wheels, then you need to make your spacer a little bit narrower than the measurement you make.

If you’re looking for stability, you might consider getting your tires foam filled. That’s what I did and it adds a lot of weight at the axle level. Not crazy expensive for the small tires on a BX. Great affect on lowering the center of gravity. Front tires don’t matter much but the foam prevents you from getting flats which was my motivation for filling the front tires w9th foam. Well, I took them someplace and had it done. I didn’t do it myself.

My son-in-law has been using his BX23S with Jeep 2 inch spacers off eBay for several years now without any issues. A cheap solution. He also has his tires is foam filled for stability.

On my BX 2200 I think the maximum I could go with was 1.25 inches, and even then there is some rubbing if I raise the mower deck all the way up.

edit: my SIL doesn’t have a MMM.

54" deck here! Like others said the wheels on the deck especially left rear are close! Raise the deck and IIRC its closer. I turn those wheels to make sliding the deck out or under easier. I know I cant turn the left rear and get the pin in with the deck up all the way. I have to lower it some.

Get your tires weighted with beet juice. Also makes a big difference.

Conclusion

I ended up with the following (Amazon Canada):
SCITOO 5x4.5 82.5 1.25" Wheel Spacers

These spacers fit like a glove; They are 1 1/4" which is perfect clearance for the factory installed lug bolts which are 1 1/8". The added width does not interfere with my 54" mid-mount cutting deck. The wider stance is noticeable and adds a little extra stability when cutting my hill horizontally.

Thanks again for the feedback!

I wonder if anyone has considered removing the wheels, breaking the beads on the backside and installing steel valve stems. You can gain width by changing wheels L>R/R<L

no need to replace the valve stems ,several riders have valve stems on the inside
the problem is will the rim sit flat on the hub.

you could test fit fit b swapping the rears as is.....
