I have never and probably will never use the rear PTO on my Kubota. Should I engage it every now and then or will it be ok never being used? I just would think if it never gets used it could become a problem or maybe seize? What do you all think? Thanks in advance!

I'd engage it for a minute or so every month. It'll help splash oil on all the internals and keep the shaft seal oily too.
One of my A-C D-14 sat for years and the top of the differntial gears and pod were RUSTY !!
Maybe do this while you're waiting for the engine to get warmed up.

Not required, all the PTO gears and seal and shafts in a BX23S are under oil all the time. ;)
