It seems like I don't have any power steering in my tractor. I have to fight with the wheel just to get to make a turn when it is standing still. I know that it is better for the tires to have the tractor moving when turning, but there are times, I have to make a slight correction to line up the ball with the hitch when hooking up the trailer. I am used to the old BX22, which was very easy with its 8" rimm, and the new tractor has a low profile tire using a 10" rim. Is it me or the tractor? 110 hours on the machine.
I don't think it is tire size related. I think the BX23S uses a rear tire size either very close or identical with your old BX22.
If this is correct, then the front tire OD must be very close to the front tire OD of the BX22.
Wheel size does not matter, just tire OD as far as tire size goes. To keep the gear ratio between the front and rear where it should be.
My GUESS is that something is not right. Sounds like you either are getting some leakage through the steering cylinder, or that the device that sends hydraulic pressure to the steering cylinder is not doing its job correctly.
Hopefully some BX23S owners will chime in and tell you how their tractors perform in this regard.
Myself, I have never notices any extra effort required to turn the tires on either my BX2200 or B2910.
As long as the engine is running.
Your engine was running, right? LOL
