BX23s manual....a REAL manual as in bound printed and not photocopied

Ok, here we go…..I want a Factory workshop manual for a BX 23s. I have downloaded the “FREE” WSM from the web and find not only is a PDF file manual kind of difficult to Thumb through but the quality of the printing , especially the wiring diagrams is almost usless. My dealer claims that Kubota doesn't offer a factory printed manual ...is that the case?

If you want a printed manual? Download the pdf to a flash drive and go to staples and they will print it out for you. They will even pouch the holes.

though I prefer the PDF, allows me to print ONLY the pages I need and get THEM dirty NOT a $$$ hard copy manual.
what I would really,really like is a READABLE wiring diagram ! ALL the WSM PDF versions, are as useless as teets on a bull.

Recently asked my dealer what it would cost to get a “real” WSM for my L4701. They said if model out less than about 3 years probably not available at all in print version but the L4701 had been out long enough to get a print version for $130 and six week delivery. Told them I’d probably just stick with the pdf I already have. They said that’s pretty much what everyone else does.

If you want a print manual go to messicks. The manuals are pricy though and will take 7 to 10 days to order. They come 3 hole punched so you will need a 3 ring binder that will fit the manual.

Here is the manual I found make sure its correct one before ordering.

Yes, I agree,printing out what you need is a bonus but as you say, for some reason the wiring copy is unusable. So I am not sure if the " dealer provided download pdf file is any better than the "free" PDF download. Can't imagine paying 130 dollars and having trouble reading the print

I got the pdf manual from my dealer and printed it on 8½x11 pre punched paper, then I went back and reprinted the wiring diagram pages on 11x17 paper and they are easy to read. Problem solved!

Are the wiring diagrams legible in that document?

I think that is the question and I can understand it, as I have downloaded the BX23S manual from Kubotabooks. While the manual is generally excellent with color pictures, if I remember correctly, the electrical diagrams are useless as the quality is so poor (this I DO remember correctly ).

I do not have a BX23S but the son in law does, so I have some interest.

I have not seen a new printed WSM in years, all we use are online through the Kubota-Links dealer portal.
Some of the schematics need to be enlarged to accurately read them.

Here are two examples from the workshop manual for the BX23S.

The second is an image which comes out really good and if you expand it you can read everything very well.

this one is basically unusable. The other electrical diagrams are like this. If you expand the image it only gets worse not better…

I KNOW before I fork over $85 ,I'd want to SEE the wiring diagrams !!

BTW #1 is typical of the 6 or 7 I've downloaded in the past 3 years.
If I decide to keep the tractor I may spend a few hours and cut code to 'enhance' the schematic. Something I shouldn't have to do.

A lot of times, it isn't the quality of the PDF, but the quality of the printer. I got the PDF of the manual for my Vermeer wood chipper, and on my printer, the copy is readable, but not that clear. The copy that the dealer printed off for me on their big office color copier is crystal clear, and the pictures are photographic quality. My office laser printer prints in only black, but the quality of the print is excellent, and it is super fast. I also use expensive high-quality paper in that machine.
Ask your dealer if they will print the wiring diagrams for you? They most likely have a better quality printer than the average home-style printer. Most times, printers are set to print to page size, and automatically downsize oversize drawings that should be printed on 11"x17" paper and folded before being inserted into the binder.

The problem I see , is that all of the PDFs are terrible. You cannot 'zoom' and get a clean, clear picture on the screen. This isn't a PC problem or OS or ADOBE issue , ONLY with the WSM.PDF file. I've got 30 year old PDFs, that I can zoom up and up and still retain 'clarity'. Not an issue for 99.44% of all the PDFs I download.
Have never had a printing PDF issue, though I only use B&W LASERs as I do a lot of custom electronic design schematics and PCB layouts.

I would like to hear if anyone can actually READ the information inside the connectors on a wiring diagram ! If so, please share the diagram. You can just cut and save the 2 pages.

As the owner of a BX23S, I am looking to buy the WSM but as you rightly point out the electrical diagrams are often unreadable.

Can you share where your 2 acceptable images are from?

Yup,

I saw that...that one's great. I am trying to find the subsystems as clear as that. I will be asking my dealer, but my fear as some have stated is that the PDF version from the dealer will still be fuzzy.
