So I finally gt my 3rd function valve BX2412 is anyone is looking :) Since Dealer installation cost was $250 which I think is kind of high I decided to install it myself. I looked over the instructions and it looks pretty simple other than needing to disconnect all lines and lifting cylinders (which I think is excessive and will try to streamline the install)

but was wondering if anyone has installed this before? if so any advice?

And/or if anyone has their valve dealer/factory installed could I get some images of the install? i.e. the hoses, connections, and lines?

Just watched this yesterday. Weird coincidence. Nice and thorough video of it going in.

Not all 3rd function valves install in all the same places, nor are the component parts alike from all manufactures. This discussion is about installing the factory 3rd function valve BX2412. Posting a video of an aftermarket installation when discussing factory parts just confuses the discussion, when people are looking for specifics on a particular factory item.

anyone see the video for the 23s-1? I wish I would have waited for them to release the new third function. it sits on the left side between the loader arm and frame. way better than in front of my hydro peddle.

Didn't see it until you mentioned it... 2 videos that have information about these second generation BX23S tractors...

I ordered a Land Pride 3rd function valve for my BX23S, and was told earlier in the week that it would be another month before it would be ready. I was able to cancel the order, and ordered it from Messicks, and it arrived on Friday. Got as far as opening the box, and looking it over. Not a lot of parts to hook it up. I hope to get to install it in the next 2 weeks. Here is the install Power Point Presentation. http://messicks.com/uploads/assets/380-289A_color_copy.pdf

I did order the land pride 3rd function valve after my dealer convinced me it was a true 3rd function valve opposed to the kubota valve which is basically a diverter valve. He said that the kubota valve wont let you curl and grip at the same time. Also the Kubota valve subtracts 18 pounds from your lifting capacity. I know the 18lbs doesn't seem like a lot but every bit counts. My only concern is if my remote fuel filter/water separator will be in the way.

Check the PDF pictures that I posted the link to above. Let us know how it works, if and when you get it. I have too many other projects going on right now to even think about starting the install.
