The Model the dealer/salesman started me at was the BX2380HSTR14V-1

On the Kubota Website, there is a drop-down to give you an option to choose a package.

Does anyone have (or know) an Itemized Break-down of what is contained in each of the packages listed, that denotes the difference in prices? (See Image)

I’m guessing which tires it has is one of the variants.

Tires, deck size...FEL type?
Right. I think there’s only one FEL model offered on the BX (other than pin on bucket vs SSQA). My guess is the models numbers with the “R14” have R14 tires. The FEL and decks are add ons to the basic tractor, so they shouldn’t impact the tractor model number. Have you looked at the glossies to see if you can guess from there?

I do believe wether or not a loader valve is mounted on the tractor or not is also buried in the model numbers.

Maybe??? Something like California emission add ons too, that’s just a WAG.

I'm guessing the ones with 60 have a 60 inch mower deck. It wouldn't surprise me if none of those had a loader. I think tires are a difference there - I'd guess V means R1 (ag tires), R means R4 (industrial tires), T might mean turf, R14 obviously would be R14. The D designation might mean drive over deck. These are all wild assed guesses, but clicking on each in turn would tell you whether those elements were there.

That'd mean the deck was costing about $2,400, and the drive over deck more like $3K. That sounds about right. And the steps in prices of tires look about right too.

curious.. if you choose one 'package', does another window pop up with a DESCRIPTION of what the tractor IS ???
it really shouldn't be up to the BUYER to have to ask a forum,sigh......
for giggles I asked google......bx2380tv60-1, got this from the 1st hit, a dealer selling it..

  • BX2380R14V60-1
  • 21.6 hp
  • 4wd
  • 2-Range Hydrostat
  • Loader Valve
  • 60" Mower Deck
  • R14 Tires
  • 3 pt. Hitch
  • 540 PTO
  • Hydrostatic Power Steering
  • 6.6 gal. Fuel Tank
  • Folding ROPS
from the messicks hit...
so this should add a LOT of cornfusion as to what the codes mean...

I think 'V' means loader Valve pkg is installed.

I agree with the V meaning loader valve.
- So if there's no tire letter, that means R1. R means R4. T means Turf. R14 means R14.
- 60 means it has a 60 inch mower deck
- 60D probably means drive over mower deck (which I don't recommend on a BX, I do recommend it on a B)
You need a loader, so none of them are right.

I tried clicking packages. Internet speed on my home connection, is slow as molasses. I also tried an open search (not the Google search engine) and never found anything. I then tried on my phone WITH Gsearch. Messicks never came up, or I got distracted with a sickly pup. No, it shouldn't be upto the buyer to search the differences in packages, but honestly, I knew nothing about the pre-configured choices until long after I worked with a salesman on my quote. On the Kubota website, their drop-down/package choices "should be" a side-by-side comparison to make it easy to compare, instead they make you choose so you leave the package selection page, which is confusing in itself.

Looks like everyone above was correct. Here are the descriptions from the 2022 BX price list

Good job. Where’d you find this?

Looks like the R = R4, industrial tires and there is no R1, agg tire option.
They would likely start with the base model they did on mine. I ordered mine with the 54" deck and the option is not in a listed package.

It is from the Kubota BX Price List. If you google Kubota BX price list PDF you can find it. They have different lists for the different series (BX, B, L, TLB, etc). You usually can't find the current year but past years can be found. I use it for finding the kit numbers for options that can be ordered through sales instead of parts.

I think the R1 agg tires have no code. blank=R1, R=R4, T=Turf, R14=R14. So R1 are the default if you don't order something different - makes sense as they're the cheapest.
