BX2380. Loose loader at 18 hours... (Updated with Video!)

Hi Guys, First post.

I replaced my trusty BX2360 in December because I really liked some of the new features on the BX2380 and wanted to upgrade to a Quick Hitch on the front.

From the very beginning, I noticed that the bucket would bounce a little when going over bumps. This is what I found when I checked into it. The tractor has 18 hours total time (but this existed since new). I took the attachment plate to the dealer today with these videos and we will see how they handle it. I have a great dealer and am optimistic they will replace the part.

Anyone here with a similar experience? My 2360 bucket was solid as a rock.

Somebody on monday morning set the cnc lathe wrong!
Was it greased at the dealer before delivery, was it greased by the OP before use? Even so, if it wasn't greased, a lot of wear for the hours, I suspect my first statement!

It was greased at the dealer pre-delivery and at 10 hours by me.

As you can see in the video, the pin is tight in the end of the ram, but loose in the mounting plate. In normal operation, the pin is stationary in the plate and rotates in the end of the ram (piston).

There is no provision for positive lubrication of the bores in the plate, because lubrication of a stationary location shouldn't be necessary.

It has to be a manufacturing defect, but they may be resistant to admit that.

The service manager at my dealer my be setting up to dig in his heals on this. I'll know more on Monday, but I told him to be prepared to give me my part back or give me a new one on Monday.

Stand by....

Yes, you may.

Because I'm new here, I was unable to post links to video until I had 5 posts. I posted some filler so I could present the links to the relevant material and then deleted the filler because it was no longer necessary once I had the video links in the original post.

And with this, I have 5 posts, so it won't happen again. :)

I apologize for the inconvenience, but trust me, it was a bigger hassle for the new guy to post his information than it was for you to wonder about my posting habits.

Update:

My dealer did the right thing and ordered another QH mount, but the new one is just a loose as the original.

They told me it's not a defect if Kubota is intentionally manufacturing them that way.

I don't have time to waste arguing, so I took my original part back and I'll fix it myself.

I may be making some stops at other tractor stores to have a look around at offerings of other colors....

The question is, "is Kubota intentionally manufacturing them that way", or is the a wrong spec'd part in the system?
Have a look at some other models and buckets, personally it's way too much slop for me.
Send the video off to Kubota corporate and see what they have to say?

I'm too busy to mess with corporate on this. It will take a bunch of my time and they are going to want the tractor for unknown durations.

I have a metal lathe. I can turn some bushings to make it right and just move on.

Honestly, I may just weld the pin in there and be done with it. As far as I'm concerned, the mounting plate is already ruined, so welding it won't hurt and will solve the problem completely. Yes, if I have to remove it in the future, I'll have to take about 20 minutes with the Makita to free the pin, but it's no big deal.

I dont think mine does that, BX23S, but my quick disconnect for the loader hoses did weep at the end. White colored hose, from the clamp not being square. My fault for not lining it up correctly. Ill check my bucket in the morning to see if I can replicate your obvious slop.

I have a bx 2370-1 and after I had it for awhile I ordered the quick attach bucket mount. After installing it I used it once took it off and returned it back to the dealer for a refund. There was no way I was going to go from having a nice tight working bucket to a sloppy working one. Go figure you think other's would be complaing and not buy them. To me it was like using a loader with the pins worn right out. No friken way is that acceptable. IMO
