Thank you to everyone. I am going to start with a tank removal.
Thank you to Grenvillejay for the step by step. that always saves on removing something that I don't have to.
I am going to jump into it this week.
I am a pretty good mechanic, I own 20 tri axels and a lot of patience, but I really did not want to work on my own tractor.
I have been using my 1990 restored and rebuilt John Deere 420, so I am going to tear the Kubota apart in my spare time.
I printed out all the good suggestions and I am going to try. them one by one.
I should have a REPAIR post on here by the end of the week.
Thanks again.

This ,yeah hard to see, is the 'gremlin' that floated around my tank ,randomly caused 'gasping', then FINALLY lodged itself into the 'tank exit spigot'.
It's a chard or sliver or donut of semi hard black plastic.

if you grab a copy of the WSM ,it kinda, sort of , explains what's needed to be done.
The 'PTO position knob' is the ONLY one that won't just pull off. It's held on by a roll pin,so you need to 'feel' it move 90* and then slide it off.

I need a little help here. Has anyone with a BX have a problem with their fuel pump sucking air, caveating, shutting down etc, after the unit is used for about a hour, and it gets hot?

I have the same problem with my BX. I have narrowed the problem down to the line between the lift pump and the fuel tank. It seems that I get a vacuum that develops in the line and seems to cause the line to collapse and fuel stops flowing.

Did you ever figure out what your problem was? If so, then how did you resolve it?
