So I picked up my brand new BX today. Put 3 hours on it cutting the grass and playing with the FEL. question is, how do I remove the ballast box from the 3 point hitch? I easily got the center link off but could not get either of the two horizontal arms spread far enough apart to get them off the pins. What’s the trick?

Make sure your turn buckles are loose enough to let the arms swing wide.
You might need a digging iron to get between the arm and box to help push them off the pins.
