Fuel Gauge not accurate anymore only shows about half most of the time when full the other day showed empty, only got about 3 gallons in it was about half. Any ideas where to start to solve the problem, thinking it might be sending unit but don't see where it might be.

I don't think mine has worked right since new. Just topped it off every time it was used more than a hour. I knew it was good for at least 8 hrs.
