I have a 1st gen BX23. While mowing with a 3pt mower, the forward movement quit. It will go reverse in 2wd and forward in 4wd. But NOT forward in 2wd. Linkage looks good as far as I can tell. I've had the tractor about 4 years and am very familiar with shifting, etc.

Any thoughts to the mechanics out there?

Check the Rear tire pressure.
It's very common to spin the tires in the rims.

I jacked up the rear tires and they do not move when the foot pedal is depressed in 2wd.

You have a mechanical issue, Something like broken differential part(s)
Get the WSM and start studying how to open it up and find out what failed.

Now, do you have the Older BX23D or the newer BX23S.
If you don't know which, give me the tractors serial number and I can tell you which model you have.

Its a BX23MLB serial 60774. I have the shop manual and have tore it down to replace a side axle seal in the past. Hopefully I don't need to go that far again?

Ok for your future reference you have a BX23D, (older model) there really is no BX23MLB.

Ok, thank! I was just going by the plate. I'm certainly not familiar with the difference!
Yes, It's a quirk that the plate and some literature says that.
But if you're needing parts and info, then it's the difference of the BX23D is the old model where the BX23S is the new model.

The MLB is how the BX23D was equipped, Mower, Loader, Backhoe. ;)
