Greetings… I’m in a heck of a mess. I own a 2004 BX23 (serial 67062) that has a rotted-out floor. The part number is K2561-95510. I have placed orders with two suppliers only to receive a call back a day later indicating they don’t have the floor in stock. I have also called four other dealers in the U.S each of whom showed the part on hand only to find out they don’t actually have one. Worse, Kubota has apparently discontinued production on this part!
  • Does anyone have any sources they could point me to in an effort to locate a floor?
  • Does anyone know if Kubota has a cross-reference to a compatible floor (“step kit”) under another part number?

Thanks in advance for any help you might offer.

Temporary floor? Got a welder and some metal cutting discs?

Between the frame, and the floor of the BX tons of bio matter can build up. If the machine is stored outside I can see this as a recipe for a mess of rust.

Messick's says that p/n also fits BX2200D and BX2230D. All States Ag Parts (link to website below) has 2 BX2200's, 2 BX2230's and a BX23 tractors for salvage parts. Give them a call and see if they have a good floor.

yeesh, that's a lotta 'biorust' material ! 30 seconds with a pressure washer once a week would probably have saved buying a $300 deck AND the PITA labour and TIME to change it out. Odds are the nuts and bolts won't easily come apart... I used to see 'biorust' when I fixed riders..decks would paper thin or held together by the 'biorust'( grass clippings and steel...)

some of them were plastic and would just bust

stupid to use plastic on tractors if you ask me but what's my opinion good for?

I replaced the floor pan on my 2006 BX23, same problem all rusted out and the area below it was packed with bio rust. The first one they sent me was not painted just bare steel so I refused to take it and had it returned for another one. The 2nd one was orange which seemed to be correct but before I installed it I painted 2-coats of POR (paint over rust) on the bottom side. I'm hoping this one will last longer.

hmm.. I wonder if 'bedliner' paint would be better that 'good old enamel' ?
It really stands up to salters in 4wd snowplow trucks up here.
