BX23 axle

Lots of axle leaks, so not to be left out ..
My 2005, BX23 has a leak from between the bevel gear case and front gear case.
I was hoping to do the repair on the tractor, ie not unbolting the flange that connects the front gear case from the axle.
Is that possible, remove the front gear case cover, access/remove snap ring and lower the front gear case?

Actually $45 isn't too bad depending on the seal. I have some at work that start at $300 on up to $1500
