The two backhoe ports on the tractor are pressure out (P) and pressure return (PB) .

The third tank return on the BT601 backhoe can go to any tank access point. The oil filler jumps to mind but there may be other more convenient places.

Kubota has always cheated by using a cheaper two port BH valve with pressure IN and tank return (OUT) ports. That works as long as you never back pressure the tank port but its been a frequent cause of problems. They decided to do it "by the book" with the BT601 which has a 3 port valve with pressure IN (P), pressure OUT (PB), and tank return (T) ports.

Just for reference, my BH77 only has 2 hyd. connections.

Is this a “new to you” BH that you are installing?

If so, I think you would benefit greatly from a manual, or some sort of installation guide.
