So then I need to find the overlap position for pistons #2 and #3 individually?
The 6 valves are adjusted in one of two positions as shown on the repair manual shown. BX2200 and BX2230 are adjusted the exact same. I just checked the 2230 WSM. The chart shows which rockers to adjust, then turn the flywheel 360 lining up the TDC mark and adjust the other rockers.

The piston overlap is also known as Top Dead Center, valve overlap is when the exhaust valve is just ending closing and the intake valve is just beginning opening.

Thanks! That's how I read it as well, but I've already gotten the torque wrong so I thought I'd better ask. Is the BX2230 WSM somewhere online? I don't think I saw it on kubotabooks.com

Possibly last question on this topic as I adjusted the valve lash a couple of times after receiving the new adjusting screws and nuts.

The last rocker arm for third cylinder has about 1.5mm (or a bit less) gap on the right side
unlike any of the other ones. I tried tightening the screw at the end but it looks like the only thing that would reduce that gap is another thin washer like the one that is already there (the one up against the right side of the rocker arm).

The question: is that gap supposed to be there for some reason, or should I try to make it smaller by adding a washer?

I wouldn’t mess with it, here is a pic of mine, looks like a gap is there too, the springs on the shaft should keep everything where it’s supposed to be. It worked 15 years the way it is, it will go another 30
