Sorry if this is been covered before. The height adjustment knob for the deck is in the top position. However, when I lower the deck I feel a small pop after about 1 inch of travel and the deck continues to drop to about 2 inches. It won't stay in the top position. Has anyone ever seen this before?

yes. Could be a lot of different things from adjustment of the lift link adjuster to having to remove the cam and grind a little off of it. Seen several of about everything so it's not one or two usual common causes.
