Can someone clarify what each hydraulic line is on a BX2230. There are three lines Green, Orange and Gray. It is my understanding the green is Pump (Pressurized), Gray (Tank return) and Orange is Return (Pressurized).

Thank you that leads to my next question. I had to replace my 4 spool directional valve for my box and i lost hydraulic power to my PTO (To lift the box). I believe the new valve has a different port on the side, can someone verify that my drawing is correct.

Do you have a power beyond sleeve in the second valve (N port)?

I’m not positive from the valve pictures but I don’t see one.

@TheOldHokie would be your best resource on the forum and would probably ask for the model number of the valves and more pictures showing how the hoses are connected to the valves. For now you only need to follow the three lines
from pump to block, power beyond from first valve to second valve and then the power beyond of second valve to the tractor

Your diagram looks correct if there is a power beyond sleeve in both valves and if B is the correct position for pressure to the tractor

Also please describe the problem you are experiencing and what you have recently done to the hydraulic system

I was going to ask the same question, Power beyond sleeve is required.

And your not having a problem with the PTO, your having a problem with the three point, completely different systems and operation.

The PTO is just the spinning shaft (Power Take Off)

What he said. Without a PB sleeve you effectively have two tank returns and no power beyond. Nothing downstream of the 4 spool valve will ever get pump pressure.

Thank you I believe my original thread regarding the issue with the PTO was incorrect. It was the 3 Point that was not lifting the box. To help understand better and possibly i have two separate issues. After i replaced the 4 spool and connected all of the hoses to the same ports I fired up the tractor and had hydraulic power on everything except the 3 point. I was able tilt the box side to side and forward and back. The New 4 spool valve looked identical but the old one did not have any markings PB so I read that the N port was the same. I then took it to the Dealer and when i got it back they said the pump was not working. but When i went to but it in the trailer pressurized fluid came out on one of the fittings. I traced all of the lines against the drawing and noticed the lines from the pump were not going to the bucket control first.
The only differences is the new spool valve has a "N" and i don't know if is pressurized or just another tank return. What is a PB Sleeve? My thoughts are if the "N" port is truly a PB i can redo the lines but i was just concern not to make it . See drawing: When i traced the lines the hoses at "A" and "B" where reversed.

The N port is provided for a PB connectuon but you only get that function when the optional Power Beyond sleeve is installed. Without the sleeve N is just another tank port - e.g. N is internally connected to T and the output stream cannot develop the pressure needed to operate the 3pt.

Your valve looks to be one of the many Chinese clones of the original European P40 valves. Contact your seller about obtsining a power beyond sleeve. If they cant help this one may work but no gaurantee.
