I have to reseal my steering cylinder, because i can not buy a new cylinder, i have the cylinder off, how do you disassemble it ? I see no end caps?thanks for any help you can give
I couldn't get mine apart either, took it to a Kubota dealer and they had trouble also, but were able to get it apart. If you have a place that works on hydraulic cylinders, they may be able to do it.
There are wire snap ring on each end inside of the barrel. Take a piece of pipe and drive end glands into the barrel, remove wire rings and drive glands out using a punch inside of the threaded hole in the shaft.
thanks for your help, i got the snap ring out by drilling a small hole through the cylinder end , and i got the end gland out ,now how do you remove the end cap ?
