BX2200 runs but my temp & fuel gauges needles are not working (but the dials lights work), also the 2 red/orange warning lights don't light up when starting up, like they used to.

I have checked all the fuses and replaced the 20Amp that I blew, which appeared to be the ignition circuit as the tractor still started up while cranking but died as soon as the key was released.

Any ideas on where I should look greatly appreciated.

Pull the dash and see what's behind it...

I wasn't having any electrical issues. I pulled mine as part of installing the 40 Amp Alternator Kit, and found the area was packed, and a couple wires stripped. Other than this, there were no signs of mice in or around the tractor. I only left it the shed for a year before moving it back to the garage. That's when it must have happened.

I was changing the cabin-air filter in my wifes car. After removing the cover-door to the unit, I had a difficult time removing the square paper filter from the slot…. Something was creating friction….
So I grabbed pliers, and simply pulled it hard…and out it came.… and sitting on TOP of the filter…. was this nest of string, paper, etc. etc.

The fan had been moving air just fine…perhaps only slightly reduced air flow…. I was only changing the filter as an annual event. The car is always parked inside a closed garage (although we live on a ranch…not in town.)

Hungry mouse or clumsy mechanic (me)
Does anyone have a wiring diagram to share, so can find the circuit the mouse or mechanic chewed? I'm trying to get the steering wheel off to remove the dash but no luck so far.

Pretty sure you can download the BX2200 workshop manual for free at kubotabooks.com. It should include the wiring Diagram.

Spray the steering wheel and shaft fr the top where the meet. There may be a little depression in the wheel that will hold a little penetrating oil like PB Blaster or something similar. Let that work for you overnight and see what happens. Leave the nut on the threads so you don’t hit yourself in the face with the steering wheel when it comes loose.

I used a 3-jaw gear puller and it popped off. Back the nut off…but not all the way… until it pops loose…

Yeap, tried my puller, rubber mallet, lots of penetrating oil. Still won't budge, and I don't want to destroy the steering wheel. I'm going to use as is while I'm trying to learn more about the electrical circuitry.

Thanks for the responses anyway Geohorn

Gave up on removing the steering wheel, but found the wiring diagram and figured out where to start looking. Bad fuse connection sorted and I'm operational again!
Big thanks to all for the input.
