Typically no work in high range, mostly used for moving tractor from location to location.
Useful tips:
Dress warm
Don't slide off a ditch, creek, river, cliff, mountain.
Don't start clearing a neighbors place for free... forget even free, just don't do it.

I use high range on a two range tractor that size pretty much only to move from one area to the next ... The little tires are quite rough riding though ... On my bigger tractor I've only used high range out of three (L,M,H) on my driveway to see how fast it would go ... But mow in M, Low is only used by me in very tight quarter maneuvering in the barn.

High range is OK if you are mowing on some flat, generally level ground and the clippings aren't too thick. And, believe it or not, I used to mount and use a standard size PTO driven fertilizer spreader on my little BX occasionally, which required a higher ground speed. Did great except for the occasional lime pellet going down your shirt. Otherwise, high range is what they used to call a "road gear"
