I recently purchased a used BX2200 in excellent condition. It has the usual black puff out the exhaust upon starting and then runs smoke free. My problem is that every time I use it for more than a few minutes my clothes wreak of diesel--I'm wondering is this is just the result of the exhaust coming out the front instead of from a stack or if this is uncharacteristic of this model and there is a another reason for the smell on my clothes?
I've already had the problems I've heard about on the 2200; leaking gas tank when full (replaced the fuel sensor gasket under the left rear fender); and the seal kit went bad in the power steering (replaced the whole valve body). Other than those two items and the smelly clothes, it works great.
