Did anyone ever remove the ROPS because it gets in the way? I was thinking about it. I mainly use my BX for mowing and my land is flat. The ROPS got in the way and hit a tree the other day..and when mowing I hit a lot of low hanging limbs. I have the FEL but I don't see how I would ever tip over doing light loader work on flat land. When I have a load in the bucket I also keep the load low when moving around anyway.

ROPS is much like your seat belt in your car/truck - royal PITA 99.99% of the time........

however -- that .01% is a life saver ! :D

I would not remove or alter - I would remove the tree limbs.

And I agree with the rest of the troops, loader = rollover .........I dont care if you are in a flats or in the hills ! Hell I hate my ROPS, but it allows me to grab something to get on the ol girl and my lights look purdy on it too!!!!

SOMEHOW I would have liked Kubota to drop it about 4" so that a standard garage door opening would work.......but that is another story......:D:)

Anyone with a fel is going to find an occasional job that requires raising the bucket and moving the tractor. I doubt that anyone with the ROPS off is going to take the time to re-install it for a 5 minute job. That one job maybe all that it takes.
From the posts on this forum I suspect a lot of us spent time in a work environment where safety was preached all the time. We wanted everyone to go home whole every night. After 37 years the message stayed with me and others, and we will continue to preach to anyone who contemplates an unsafe act on this forum. We care about your safety.
