Cutting grass and all of a sudden lost forward and backwards engine still running. Turned engine off and tried to restart it fuel pump runs nothing with the starter. Looked at the wiring diagram saw a safety switch for hst but have no idea where it is.

If you lost directional control, and the engine was still running, the root cause is more than a safety switch.

Perhaps the linkage related to the directional pedal fell off, or something like that, and it’s no longer tripping the safety switch that allows you to start the engine.

So I’d take a good look down under the tractor and see if you can find anything hanging loose or not looking right and take it from there.

that switch will probably be somewhere around the hyrdo pedal linkage. as you said..you may have to remove the mower deck in order to get to it ?. if your model is anything like my b2100 down in front of the seat, remove the cover that covers the hydro unit, you may be able to reach, see the switch from there without having to remove the mower deck ?.

Maybe have a look at the online parts pages... they may shed some light as to where and how things are supposed to be 'under there' ??

Just a dumb thing to check,,, your high low range lever,, sometimes they get bumped in the middle and thats in between gears and it wont move,, always check the simple things first
