I remember seeing something about moving a nut under the floorboard on a BX to increase the "MPH" of a BX. Anyone found a way? A couple more MPH would be nice.

You might be referring to the pedal stop on the tractor. I believe the BX has one.
It is a small bolt under the forward part of the pedal that stops the pedal from being depressed further. Just loosen the locking nut and screw in the bolt. No elaborate disassembly to get to the bolt is needed.
I have not tried this myself so must say that I don't know what the result will be.

If your tires are loaded, there could be a risk of the fluid starting to travel with the tire when going too fast.
The tires act like REALLY out-of-balance, with the 80 lbs or so of fluid floppin' around each tire, and make the tractor "hop."
Reason my father always said never coast down hills in neutral.....'cuz then, with tires hopping, you can't brake, either. Real risky if drawing a load of hay...
Would a couple mph on a BX do it; probably not, but just something to keep in mind.

I just looked at the manual for my BX1860 and on page 17 it states: "To prevent serious damage to the HST, do not adjust the stopper bolts."
I wonder if damage would result to the HST if there is too much fluid pressure as a result of adjusting those bolts.

There is a YouTube video that shows how a hydrostatic transmission works. Changing the stop point changes the angle of of the swash plate. There is a limit to side thrust you want to put on the pistons driven by the swash plate.

Skeets - last summer we had one of those "speed trailers" parked across the road. Says "Your speed is...." and digital display of your MPH.Why do you want to go fast on a BX????
When mowing the roadside, kept trying to get my BX on the radar - never did trigger the thing!!
I expected to see "8" - 'cuz I would really pour the coals to it heading at it!!

Had to drive at it after doing the roadside and ditch for about 400'.
Really buried the foot pedal.
My grandfather used to call it Whistle Gear.
Good thing it wasn't 30 years ago with my Yamaha Fazer - mighta said 108mph..............Now, I'm okay with 8, if the friggin' thing would say so....

I had to explain to my local town Marshal that Kubota tractors fall under "farm machinery" in AZ motor vehicle law and are exempted of any registration or insurance requirements under AZ law. I sent him the link to the applicable law and he thanked me.
