How do you adjust this thing? keeps moving forward unless I step on the reverse pedal. 2200....some close calls avoided.

First thing I would do is get under and see if there is any gunk on the linkage, and look for the return spring, second find the grease fitting in the floor board and give the old gal a couple of shots, look for the easy simple things first

Hopefully this is the correct drawing.....
It looks like there is an adjustment on the rod #130+#140.
I'd disconnect it(170 + 130) to confirm pedal move easily, have you added grease to #070 ? Probably through 'flap' in mat ??

Thanks for the replies, I'll look at it closer.
When my BX2200 was new it used to stop so quickly when I took my foot off the directional pedal, that it was hard to bear. Now since I have not greased the pedal in over a decade, it stops at a reasonable rate, but does have a little drift until I center the pedal manually.

I'll keep it the way it is...keeps me from sliding off the seat or whiplashing my neck if moving backwards when stopping. Yes it really was that sudden of a stop.

Edit: typed this yesterday, but forgot to post it...

2nd Edit: Back during the early years of BX's, the sudden stopping issue was a common complaint. I think something was changed with later models to slow the return of the directional pedal, which cured the sudden-stop issue that many complained about.
