Hi I have a bx2360 that I need to remove the starter switch. It has a plastic nut on it and afraid that I will destroy the nut with plyers. What is the trick to removing this nut without damaging it?
Apply some gentle heat, evenly THEN use channellocks or similar but go slow...'feel' how it's coming off. use more, gentle heat and smoooothly unscrew the nut
Kind obvious, but remove GROUND from the battery FIRST.
Cdn Kubota parts shows a 'cover' for $11 to keep rain/water out !
I would use water pump pliers, but today you can't buy them. Water pump pliers don't have the teeth that regular pliers have. They were designed not to mar the water pump gland nut.
