Recently bought bx2670 w/50hrs, new mower. Hit a hidden tree limb w/mower & tractor shutdown. Tractor starts but shutdown when engaging mower/midPTO. Hoping it's just a safety switch reset somewhere? Any suggestions? Tried turning off tractor, switching to rear PTO, & turning mid shaft manually but it won't budge.

Does it shut down with rear pto only, or just mid?
On the bx with mid disinguaged I can turn it.
If not and If it was a big jolt than the seat saftey switch.

That is what I was wondering.
Somthing jamed up.
Look on top in the belt as well.
With the pto shaft disconnected can you torn the pto while disengaged?

Thanks to all for the input & lightning fast responses! Per bxray I tried the rear pto & it still worked. Looked under deck again & found the blade stuck against bent housing, keeping mid pto from engaging. Knocked blade back w/hammer & pulled housing bend out with crow bar. All back working. PIA unmounting/mounting mower deck, but YouTube helped. Much appreciated all!

Now that you have your blades turning free again, you might want to closely check your belt for burn spots.
If you have them, you will feel a thumping kind of vibration as the belt turns.
I would be looking for a new belt, and keep the old one for an emergency spare.

Good Lord man how fast were you going to bend that up. I run over stuff all the time and it grinds and bangs underneath, but I aint ( knock on wood) bent up a blade or the deck,,, Just wondering
