After watching a YT video by CallMeColt regarding removing the fuel tank on his BX2350, would it now be as "easy" or even easier to remove the rubber floor mat and floor plate to access the fuel filter adjacent to the lift pump? Thanks.

Hmmm don’t think so. I’ve done both and the fuel filter is sure a pain but so is removing the “STEP”
Take the deck off, loosen the factory guard, swing it out of the way, have some fuel line clamps ready and do the filter swap. Not easy for an old buck but better than the alternative. You’d still have to do all that from the top after removing the step.🤔 Better yet…get one of them bowl fuel filter relocation kits! I did and never a problem since!

Getting older by the day is why I did this.

Or as Mowbizz suggests get a relocation kit or fab your own. Once you do it it's a piece of pie, slice of cake, something like that.

There are A LOT of posts on OTT for this.

About 3 weeks ago, out of the blue the tractor started running a little rough when idling. I have also noticed a slight but noticeable decrease in power when mowing up a slight grade. Have mowed 4-5 sessions @ 1.5-2 hrs or so with this condition. Condition has neither decreased or increased. If I were mowing a constant straight and level, I might not even notice the problem. Hoping it's the rear filter but don't know. Thought I'd replace both filters and if the problem goes away, Then I plan on doing the Racor filter with water separator mod.

I just found out that the tank I've been getting diesel from is contaminated with gasoline. Never smelled it but that's what my BiL told me and showed me in a glass jar. The jar looked and smelled like 100% gas to me. This fuel was from them having to pump - off a station when one their drivers wrongly dumped gas into a diesel tank. I have since run enough non - contaminated fuel through the tractor to have no more gas mix imo.
