I have a BX1880 with a brake issue. When set it won't hold on even the slightest incline. I've been through all the easy options and it appears to be something internal. I have the workshop manual and in a past career was a capable auto tech so I have no fears of doing this work.
My question is once the HST is out and the right rear diff housing is accessible, does it just slide off with a little maneuvering? The workshop manual does not specify anything particular other than remove as an assembly with the axle in place. The bearings involved appear to pressed onto the differential and final drive rather then being pressed into the differential case I will be removing to inspect the brake components. If anyone has experience with removing the differential housing on the right side I'm eager to hear what you have to share. Thanks!
