In a earlier post you all help me out with a suspect 2380. I told the owner that unit is not going to me. To many negative out of the box.
I asked if he wanted to call it a day or try something else, it’s up to him.
He said he has a 1888 and a 2680 in crates and would either of those work? He offered that they were all basically the same except for engine horse power. His salesman offered back at the beginning that even though all 3 use the same frt loader he would not recommend a quick detach bucket on the 1880 because it’s farther forward than the pinned bucket, risking some stability issues. The owner did not agree with that conclusion.
I said talk to your salesman again and let me know If you are willing to proceed. I also said I obviously will not commit to something I haven’t test driven. Prep it, let me drive it and We will
go from there. They said they get back to me next week.
I’m trading in a B2601 FLBHMMM thats to big for our new property.
Want the loader for snow and dirt, mower for 2/3 acre of grass. Thanks

Snow blower? That uses HP. Other than a snowblower or other PTO driven implement, no real reason to go to a 2680. They lift exactly the same as a 2380 on the FEL, they have the same tires so they have the same traction (they run out of traction well before they run out of HP).

But if there's a deal on a 2680 that makes it same price as a 2380, then jump on it.

My two reasonably close dealers don’t have 2380’s in crates but both have crated 1880s and 2680s.
Will work on deals this week. Im in NE illinois.

Given the options, I suggest the BX2680 WITH SSQA and 3pt kit. It sounds like you're giving up the backhoe in the 'deal'. Unless you've got a concrete pad, agile body and like working in lousy weather you'll LOVE the SSQA, Easily changing any implement, in any weather is NICE! You will NEED some kind of 'ballast' to offset the loader loads. A 'carryall' with few hundred # of weight is an easy solution as you want to remove the weight when cutting grass. A set of SSQA pallet forks is very.very handy BTW.
Dropping from 26 HP down to 18 HP , isn't really a good trade. Also you should be able to privately sell yours for more than the dealer will offer on tradein.

Not sure I'd agree with using the loader for snow. It is slow. I have a front mounted blower and a blade that mounts on my loader arms. I use the blade almost exclusively. If we've had a lot of snow in the winter, I may change to the blower, but it is slow. I will use the bucket only to move big snow banks that I can't push anymore and sometimes to scrape ice off the driveway. I live about 40 miles NW of Boston

I have the SSQA material bucket on it now. Backhoe with 12“ bucket and a 60 inch deck. Takes up a spot in the garage, buckles the flag stone paths around home. The 54 inch deck would fit around obstacles better.
want diesel for safety and longevity.
Haven’t used it to mow since we moved here. Moved snow a couple times and move bags of stuff here to there. Old dive way was 1300 feet, new one 80. 5+ acres then, 2/3s now with many more tight places. Not gonna be running anything off the pto, sold box scraper, grader blade, snow blower, log splitter, post driver and rear pallet lift with L2250 when moving. I think I’m leaning 1880.

The big problem with pushing snow is that you HAVE to push it far,far away the FIRST time, especially if it's wet. Funny how wet snow turns into immovable ICE overnight. With a blower, it's GONE. I made my own selfpowered SSQA dual snowblower last year, bench tested, then it never snowed so no 'field trials'...
No mower on my BX23s, not needed... I can buy 3-4 'disposable tin' riders for what K wants for a MMM ! And I don't have to fight putting it on and off...

When I bought mine, I mainly need to mow and snowblow. I didn't really need a loader, but in for a penny...

The 2380 will blow fine. I've read on others using the 1880 and they say it will blow as well. Just forward movement maybe you slow down a bit. But if they can make a good deal having the 2680, and you're in something anything close to the wet lake effect snow is, the 2680 will do an awesome job. And all of them won't be much different on fuel burn either. So go big or go home was my motto!

re: B2601 TLBMMM
does this mean, Tractor,Loader, BackHoe, MidMountMower ?

if so ,you're 'essentially giving up' the BH in the deal ?
I'd have to see/drive both B2601 and the 'replacements' as it's hard for me to 'see' how much smaller a BX is than the B series. Smaller may not be smaller, say in turning around or storing...

I eliminated cutting 2/3acre of grass, turned it into wife's veggie patch. She makes 2-3K a year in sales, fills 2 freezers and I get to 'play in the dirt' !

Your BX is a half inch longer.
BX is 3.9" narrower.
BX is 1.9" lower at the ROPS.
BX has 4.4" less clearance under the front axle.
BX is 111 lbs lighter (bare tractor weights)
BX loader is 330 lbs less loader lift.
BX lifts 7.5" less height.
BX bucket break-out force is 620 lbs less.
Going to the BX is not saving you much at all in size, but it sure costs you a lot in performance!

My 2 cents
Comparing B2650/BX2370, BX lower to ground easier for old folks to mount/dismount. BX will turn tighter, only has single brake pedal. B will turn tighter if brake is used to assist turn. BX 3pt works but lousy - no positional control like B series.

2680 and $1500.00 additional. Problems have been reported with the loader hydraulic manifold leaking. If you must downgrade, use Kubota financing to get the insurance coverage on it.

Insurance covers damage and theft, it's not an extension of the warranty and does not cover manufacturer defects.

my 3 cents looks at the ground contact pressure of the others. my gut the B2601 with turfs is lighter or as light.

keep B2601 and buy a box box store rider for mowing.
I have less land and using a B2601 / rider for mowing tight areas /ditches.

Exactly what I have but then neither of my M's would make good lawnmowers anyway............. :p

Some if not all of the new loaders for LX and B series tractors are using the same couplers as the loader for the BX series.

You do not have to finance with Kubota to get KTAC insurance.

hmm, I was thinking yesterday that I might trade my BX23S for a B2601, after seeing neighbour's new ride and I have little personal use for the BH and never got the 3PT kit out of the 2 year old box....
