Been on the hunt for a small grapple. Been looking at mini skid steer versions to try to keep the weight down. Found one but its 320 lbs. Thats about half of my lifting capabilities. Anyone know of a lighter grapple?

Both look good. The homestead has the nice grips though. Both are around $2000. Thanks for the info. Something to save up for unless I can find a used one.
Was thinking I could set the angle, then use as is until I get a 3rd function installed.

SGC0554 user. So far, minimal hours of use. Moved brush piles, used as a rake to rip out some wild blackberry, and hauling, stacking firewood logs. Effective and efficient for those uses. Using the box blade for rear ballast.

SGC0054 user for more than 5 years on an LX. I have had nothing but good service from the grapple, and so far no damage. I have moved countless piles of brush, logs, telephone poles and rocks as big as the LX can safely lift. As with any claw style grapple, you want to pin the brush to the ground, and then close the grapple. You get very full loads, and you almost eliminate the possibility of sticks poking your grill.

Good luck on your search.

I've used my HLA 900# pallet forks as a 'poor man's grapple' for 8 years, hauling brush, logs, 'taming' Mother Nature. Don't need the 3rd function $$ either !
might be an option ??
