On my BX23S when you take your foot off the pedal, the tractor comes to an immediate stop, so much so that it is actually annoying.

WhitleyStu it was a winner. We drained the trans, changed the filter and filled with UDT2 and it eliminated 70- 80% of the pedal return creep. I don't know what the synthetic blend had over the regular UDT but it's a big improvement. Thanks again for the tip.
Did you clean the suction screen? Could be part of the problem!

My 1870 has done this since I bought it with 75 hours on the clock. 350 hours on it now. Even after a full service with SUDT2, filters, screen clean and greasing every zerk it still does it. I've conditioned myself to just tapping the brake pedal and it returns the HST pedal to neutral.

Mine used to do the same thing, but since I stopped lubing it probably 15 or more years ago, the sudden stop syndrome is gone. If I need to stop more quickly, I push the reverse pedal slightly. Works for me.

While reading this thread, I couldn't help but think if the original question is solved by lubrication, then the owner may be back asking how to slow down the sudden stopping of his BX! 😂

Same issue on my BX2680. Take your foot off and the tractor keeps going. If you hit the reverse to go to the neutral and overshoot, may break something. Seems it should be a safety recall if that many people are having issues.
