The problem with relocating the "first" filter is that it HAS to be FIRST - as poor as that filter is (micron rating) yet good enough .......... we must catch all the bad stuff BEFORE it hits the lift pump....... then we filter it again with the EXACT same filter as before - before hitting the injection pump....... brilliant !!!

On mine - I took the filter off - the first one - routed 5/16-8mm hose all the way to the new filter and then ROUTED the line BACK to the lift pump = now I could have moved the lift pump - but I had plenty of line and some patience.

TG - it would not take much to make a cardboard template and then take it to a local welder ...... move the filter a bit forward ( watch the angle of the front left tire too) and maybe you could raise it up a bit?

I will look at things more closely when the weather clears. I hear what you and Russell are suggesting. I just don't want to put something that critical in a place where it can be damaged easily. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep thinking.

I haven’t read the latest responses here closely.

I haven’t installed my filter relocation kit yet, and it’s been several years since I bought it….🥺

I should have put it in this spring but had other irons in the fire…

Used to plow with my BX25D with one of those Bxpanded bucket plows…every winter, during the nastiest, cold spell, that lower filter would freeze up and leave me limping b ack to my garage from somewhere on my 500’ driveway…after a few bouts of this, the relocation kit was bought and installed in good weather and n’er a problem since. I did use the fuel additive as well but it never made a difference…those Kubota engineers were being cursed heavily.😡
