Is it okay to “lift” the front snowblower when operating off pavement? I have 500’ driveway, part asphalt part recycled asphalt and I make “off pavement” paths for dog/walking/access.
First season with my new front snowblower ( BX25d and BX5455hd)
Question: does simply lifting the blower (off the skids) a bit for blowing these off pavement paths do any harm to anything (driveline, etc?) or should I lower the skids for ground contact?

Have a look( power off...)with it rasied and rotate the drivetrain.... I suspect NO problem, providing you don't exceed the Ujoint angles.
I've done it for years with another make/model, up as much as -7" to 'cut' tall drifts down.

I've got a new front mount system last year on my BX23S, with K Connect system. 2816 is the model number if I had to guess but I forget...
One year, New England winter, zero issues raising the blower while it's spinning.
I did my 150 foot driveway, 1/2 my 1/2 acre field, and 3 neighbors driveways, mix of all conditions and heights.
