Bx expanded skid plate

A couple of quick questions,
1) does the backhoe have to be removed to install the skid plate?
2) can the backhoe be used with the skid plate installed?

I am thinking that it can be used while installed but do not know for sure

I have a BX25D ...... almost identical to your BX23s.......I have the backhoe on all the time with the plate on.
YES - both can be used together.

Obviously the MMM and skid plate cannot be used together,

Yep, only time my skid plate comes off is to change the oil, since I don’t have a MMM.

Thanks for the reply’s,
I figured it would work with the backhoe on but wasn’t 100% sure, and was watching videos of installing the skid plate,
it seems like the mower height adj arms need to drop down and it looked like the 3ph and those arms could cause this movement to not occur.

I have a bx23s and the only time I have the bxexpanded skid plate off is when I have my front mounted snowblower on it. Before I got the skid plate I picked up a stick and sheared all the blades off the hst fan. Not a fun repair.
