How much of a process is it to mount a bagger System on a BX

Can I easily remove it to mount my backhoe

I see one for sale locally and it would be nice to have but it’s not really A necessity...

if it is going to be a hassle every time I have to remove it I may just pass on the whole idea...

BTW,
The guy wants $2100.00

I think if I can get it for 1500 or less I may try it

But not if it’s going to be a big hassle

Thanks For any input

To clarify,
Does the bagger mounting framework use the bottom and/or top backhoe mounting points on a permanent basis? would anything have to be unbolted ?

Or is it just a matter of unhooking and dropping the bagger and pinning the backhoe... ?

I currently don't use the backhoe often, but if I do I'd like it NOT to be a 2 hour ordeal...

anyone ?

I have never had a BX but do have a B1750HSDT with MMM and bagger.

Installation/removal is more of a hassle than I care to do even without a BH, so I no longer use the bagger.

What is difficult about it?

besides the obvious PTO spline alignment?

thats kinda what I'm trying to find out... whats involved.

It is not difficult, just time consuming, R & Ring the lift arms and bagger mounting bracket.

It took about an hour on or off even leaving the blower gearbox (not PTO driven) mounted on the deck.

Again, no backhoe on this tractor.

I can say that the first time I installed the bagger on my bx 2380 it took about half an hour to get it mounted. You use the three point arms and top link to install it on the tractor and of course the PTO shaft mounts on the rear PTO. There is two lockout mounts that you mount to the tractor that the two bottom arms of the three point hitch mount to so you don't raise and lower the bagger with the mower. I only use mine in the fall for leaf pick up and taking it off goes faster than putting it on. Hope that helps.

My BX1870 bagger does NOT use the three point arms. In fact, the three point lift arms are removed when the bagger is in place. It mounts to a set of brackets that remain on the BX at all times. The mounting style has changed back and forth through the years.

I would not want to mount/remove on a weekly basis. Not hard to do but it does take me 20 minutes or so. That includes the filler piece that bolts in the mower deck just inboard of the discharge. I run mine for a short period in the Spring and then again for Fall leaf cleanup. It does a great job as far as I am concerned. I have a steep yard and did have to add front weights to maintain steering when the bags are nearly full of wet leaves.

Thanks Guys...

Looks like if I got one I would keep it on all summer unless I had a backhoe chore...

concerning the one for sale locally...
Just for kicks I called the dealer... the bagger for my BX23S is the GCK60-23BX
and they will sell it tome for $2200.00

I saw a few on auction house and Messicks for 1000-1400

-just sayin...

For sure, it is not a cheap bagger. I would have been tickled pink to find a good used one, at a used price. I think you are right on thinking $1,400 or less.
