I think that the 12volt power port below the seat is useless. What am I supposed to use this for? It’s a tractor. I have never used it since the tractor was brand new 5 years ago. I think I may repurpose the hole in platform for something else.

I have never used mine either in 8 years ..... and If was to be used for a phone charger - it would be better served near the "phone" spot in the cup holder. However you could use it for a hot source for a sprayer or something else that has a 12 volt plug. I have to admit - it is in a screwy place to use easily.

There's a saying out there......."Better to have it and not need it........."

I actually plug in a strobe light in to mine when I'm going down the street snowblowing at night. :geek:

i used the power port to power my sprayer on the BX
use the one on the 2601 for the sprayer and snow blower chute, the 12 volt ports are essential.

Not specific too the BX, but they can be handy. The factory plug in the cab of the 4240 occasionally sees use with a phone charger. I added one to an earlier tractor to power a small sprayer.

In recent years I started using "flat two" trailer plugs on tails because they make much better connections and are fairly weatherproof. The diesel transfer pump has one on it to plug into the tractors when they're being fueled.

That what’s I did with one of those small solar battery tenders when I had my ariens ride on mower. Buy the cheap extension kit, cut it in half then soldered the wires.

Transfer pump sound like a great idea. I just pour it in like my lawnmower
