BX 2380 loader install issue

Just got a new BX 2380... awesome tractor! Last evening I took the front end loader off for the first time to do some mowing. When I was putting the loader back on, I got everything lined up, got it seated in the mounts and locked it in... or so I thought. When I went to lift the loader, the right side popped pit and the whole thing got pulled to left. I tried to straighten it out and set it down and back out but the more I played with the hydraulics, the worse it got. So eventually the loader is laying accross the hood and the hood and whole right side is damaged as is the grill guard, right headlight, and probably some other stuff I can't see. It also seems like the steel mount on the left side is bent, either on the tractor or the loader, or both.

Now the loader is completely twisted and I can't get it off or even move it much. I'm so disgusted about this. This tractor has about 5 hours on the clock and now it's completely screwed up. I'm hoping this can be fixed with no permanent issues. Needless to say, I didn't sleep very well last night.

Ouch! That sounds terrible!
Did you lift the front wheels off of the ground before you locked it in?

You should contact your dealer. Should be covered by warranty.

While you're at it get a first hand lesson on removal and reattaching the loader. Watch someone else do it, ask questions, then do it yourself while they watch. You need to clearly understand the process.

I was pretty confident I knew what was doing.

Sounds to me like it would be covered by the Kubota insurance, if you opted for it. Warranty? As harsh as it may sound, I believe this is operator error and that is not part of the warranty coverage.

Could be something faulty with the mount on that side. I do have the kubota insurance but I'll wait until I see what the dealer says.

I bought my BX2360 used. As it turns out the prior owner tipped it over with the FEL attached and never told me and I never noticed the bent main frame attachment bracket until after I bought it and noticed the difficulty attaching the FEL.

I checked with the dealer and he did indeed turn in a claim on the Kubota insurance about a year ago and the dealer fixed it. So if you opted for the insurance, I'd definitely see about turning in a claim.

Unfortunately for me he must have done something else after that whole episode and managed to bend the bracket yet again, so I ended up having to buy a new bracket (at $174) which fixed my issue.

Sadly, I agree that this may not be covered under the basic warranty. :(

Hope you get it sorted.

I've had the tractor less than two weeks so I'm going to want it back to brand new condition. I have insurance if it's not covered under warranty but we won't know that until the dealer looks at it.

I also have the Kubota insurance. Never used it (yet), but would not worry. Everything I have heard makes it sound like a no questions asked type of deal.

As already mentioned, have the dealer actually walk you through the removal and mounting process once she is back to new condition.

Was this level ground?

Just in case this happens again - if one side pops out take the other pin out as well. If it won't line up, especially on unlevel ground, place a block of wood under the bucket edge on one side.

No pins on these. Large locking lugs. I feel mine is a bit sloppy, but nothing overly so.

I have insurance
The Kubota insurance?
If you have that you will be OK...it's fantastic.
But I would still pursue the warranty point. If something was missed in the installation of the loader and it affected the outcome then it should be considered a dealer error and should be covered. But tread softly with your dealer...you are married to him until your warranty is up.
And your BX will long outlive your warranty...trust me.
These machines are built to last.
The hydraulics depend on each other for balance. When one comes loose it has nothing to push off so it looks like they went crazy. I have had some issues with my B when the loader or tractor isn't quite level. It looks like you have an attachment issue which should be covered under warranty.
Keep us posted.

Yes, I have the Kubota insurance. So far, the dealer has been great.

Good to hear about the dealer. My dealer was great as well but you hear a lot of horror stories here from other Kubota owners.

That is a major bummer Mummer. I think my stomach would be a bit ulcerated on a machine that new. Remember that shit happens. (Seems to happen with amazing consistency these daze)! Please let us know your outcome and I wish you a happy outcome from this.
PS....I watched my used, unwarranted and uninsured BX1500 get delivered and watched my dealer's serviceman pull it in my garage and back out of the loader when he went over the tractor with me. Piece of cake for him! When I grow a set soon....maybe this year yet..............i'll take it off just for shits and giggles. Of course it is June already you know! :D

Mine comes off and on about 2 times a week. It's my helping hand for everything when I'm not mowing. Despite how often I do it, if it's not on perfectly level ground it can be tricky. Patience is your friend. I learned not to try to connect the hoses after the loader has sat in the sun. I assumed there was something wrong with one of the quit connect hoses but it was just pressure.

Where are those 1" diameter pins now that are a little up from the "pocket" that the loader frame sits in? I'll be one didn't get put in. If they arn't sitting in horizontal position in the frames, locking the loader to the tractor, it was your fault.

Here is a sketch looking at right side of tractor at the loader mount area. Tractor support is on the left. Holes A an A are where the 1" diameter pin goes, holding the mount from loader to the tractor while the "cup' B takes the welded in pin B from the loader. First step is get the loader pin B into that tractor cup, then move the loader bracket so two holes A and A line up and the 1" diameter pin can go in and lock things together.

Nothing goes in hole C of the tractor.

My guess is that you set the 1" diameter pin through hole A of the loader and let that rest in the cup B of the loader. It might sit there OK for a while, but it's in the wrong place.
