Hi everybody,

Ok, I looked at the manual and it shows a grand total of one, grease nipple - by the hydro peddle. That just seems wrong! Can anybody confirm this or am I missing something? What else should I be lubricating on a regular basis?

Thanks,

Glenn

Aparrently things work without grease. Go figure. My old L1501 has a few,but i never counted them.as mentioned, loader should have a few, like as many as 16.

He said Nipple... HeHeHe!

That sounds about right if you don't have a loader or backhoe.
But if your using a snowblower or front blade there might be a few.

What else should I be lubricating on a regular basis?
Engine oil and hydraulic fluid would be the #1 and #2 lubes to keep an eye on!

I got the ones on the loader. It's the tractor itself. I'm talking about. I figure there would be some on the hubs, steering linkage etc. Nothing! To me that just sounds odd. I though they may have missed a page in the manual or something.

Thanks,
Glenn

Glenn,

I think there are 4 on the MMM!:D

And yes - every ten hours or so .....I do mine more often when I use the bucket all day

That could be it....1. I think my older B-series has one on each end of the mower lift pivot bar, but they may have eliminated it on the newer models.

Im not suprised. My older Ls have fittings everywhere. The newer M I just recieved has none on the steering and the knuckles are all but dry. Seems to be a dream come true for the parts wharehouse. I will probably drill and tap the new joints for ever-after lasting like the old ones.

Re: BX 2370 grease "ZERKS"

OK people!

I've changed the title to Grease Zerks!!
As you have noticed... It's still nipples in the thread title,
Only a mod can change a title! ;)

But it's all good I think we are all of legal age! :D

Based on the ONE nipple thread here, I am not sure I can handle it any more......

I have always needed at least TWO nipples before I can work the old grease gun !:D:D:p

Make sure they are on tight before you grease them. I've found the best way is use my thumb and index finger and twist the nipples.:D
