This just started happening. With key off and removed the glow plug light is on and I verified there is voltage going the glow plugs. The only way to stop voltage going to glow plugs is to disconnect the battery. The engine will not crank when the switch is turned all the way.

Bad ignition switch?

I had some really funky stuff going on when some wiring came loose under the dash. Have you verified all the connections are clean and tight?

Ignition switch would be my first guess. I had to replace one at around 700 hours on a used machine that was stored outside. With the glow plug light being lit up it would make sense. Do you also hear fuel pump? I would think if switch was stuck on you'd hear the pump also with the glow plug light.

yes, probably bad switch.
there is a 'glow plug relay ' which could fail, keeping power to GPs but that doesn't explain the 'won't start' failure.
