I'm buying a new b2601 from messick's. They are not willing to sell the Quick-tach system for the FEL claiming it is poorly designed and too dangerous. Has anyone else run into this and is it worth fighting over or am I better just skiping the quick-tach. Thanks

They are very prone to leaking, and they have not had any or limited success in repairing and or stopping the leaks. This is a high pressure device and can cause serious injury to the operator. I know of one person that had leaks that were not able to be repaired and decided to switch his B2601 back to the old connectors.

had swift tach on my B2601 and opted to NOT get it on LX. I would save the $800 and skip it. If you have a 3rd function you have to get off the machine anyway to deal with that. The swift tach is a bunch of light duty parts that hang down, and get bent easily. When loading dumpsters the "ears" hanging down would barely clear the dumpster sides, plus I would smack my head on them randomly too. The levers on the loader arms often vibrate like crazy and make a racket. imho, it's unnecessary.

Removing a non-swift tach loader is still very easy, and very short work. Save the money!

Confused.. are we talking about the hydraulic connectors or the quick detach of the bucket, pallot forks, etc.?

He's talking about the Swift Tach feature on the loader, that allows removal without leaving the operator station, which includes single lever 4 coupler hydraulic connects.

Not the two lever SSQA quick attach.

Glad to see one dealer won't sell that piece of crap. Not a B, but a BX. Mine was "repaired" twice under warranty. I fixed it the 3rd time. No more leaks.

This is great information, thanks. I wont worry about it then.

Second question, I have a 600' curved driveway to plow. I am planning on a 60" frame mounted hydraulic plow. Would that be best or should I get loader mounted? Loader mounted seems more fragile but better for pushing the snow higher up a pile if needed.

Thanks

Ok thanks for the info! I've heard of this and have not taken mine off yet. I mentioned this to the dealers service manager who is partial owner and he said it's because of people not wiping off the crud when putting it back on.🙄

I have no need to take it off at this point since I have no mmm but I hate to wait till my warranty is up to find out. Only problem is.. even if they replace it, sounds like it's inevitable it's not going to happen again.

Yeah, that's BS. You could've eaten off mine. It still leaked. The single attachment point in the middle sucks because it allows the upper part of the quick attach to flex/rock.

Your dealer did you a favor...in my opinion.

Not having that hydraulic coupler was a factor in choosing an LX2610SU.
A Kubota mechanic friend warned me of the hydraulic manifold being more trouble some than standard connections.
I didn't think those levers to remove loader were a good idea for a tractor that is getting a cab.
Besides how often would I take the loader off?

I could care less about that quick coupler deal, my old B7510 had basically what you did with yours.. not a problem at all. When I seen this for the first time I thought damn how lazy do they think we are!

I must have been lucky I guess. 2017 BX23S and my coupler still does not leak! Come to think of it I have never had any problems with my machine. Its been worked hard and over 500 hours! It will probably break after the warranty is up!

How long of a warranty you have on it? Extended?

I can put my 434 on and off in three minutes, hoses and all. Kubota was solving an issue probably nobody had. Who can’t get off their tractor for three minutes and do this task.😆

That's how it was with my 7510.. I mowed with it so that loader was off and on numerous times. It was as simple as a 3 point quick hitch! ... and no leaks!!

These days I'd probably throw my back out trying to reach the coupler from the seat anyways.

If I understand this correctly, it seems that most think the single clamping mechanism is insufficient to hold the thing together. I'll have to look for a means to better clamp it.

If they won't sell you the 435 swift tach, what are they going to put on it? I don't think it is a option on the 435 like it is on the 535 loader.
