+1 👆 🍺 I had never even met my salesman until I went and picked up my 50 hour oil and filters. All done electronically/email and over the phone.

I love that damn BH77.

My only problem now it that I want one for "Up North" and one for "Down South".

This could get expensive......The finance committee meeting is going to be brutal this time around.
It is very clear to me that you need another backhoe !

Do I really need a BH? Not really. Heck, I don't even really need a tractor. But it really completes my tractor, and fits nicely within my growing attachment collection. Having the various attachments available makes owning the tractor seem so much more justified. Considering how Kubota makes it so easy to buy these things (got the entire package delivered to my home with an electronic signature @ 0%) I 'm a very happy customer.
I think every tractor deserves a Backhoe :)

There is no real savings on the cost of a backhoe, unless you find a dealer like mine that had one sitting for two years unsold and the paint was starting to fade. So they gave me a good discount. And said they would cover any hose replacement if one fails.
So far it has been fine other than one hose failed but I don't think that was related to sun damage. I also converted it to Cat control pattern.

But for me, I really wish I would have put that money towards the purchase of a mini-ex instead. Because backhoes that small are a pain.....you spend more time repositioning than digging.
But it is better than a hand shovel.

Well fellas, since we haven't seen the OP in 2+ years I don't think we are ever going to hear , as Steve Harvey used to say, "The rest of the story".

I spent north of 10 K for my BH and would get one again in a heart beat.

I think BH's are similar to a lot of tools in that; You don't know what your missing or how useful they are, until you get one.

I am quite sure a Mini-Ex would be wonderful to have and much better than a tractor mounted BH in terms of efficiency, but I doubt I could afford a decent one for 10 K, plus maintenance and storage.

@fried1765 makes a great point. I can't begin to tell you how often I have been able to just back up and solve a problem on the spot, with Ole General Jackson......(General Lee's RH man ;) )

Different strokes for different folks, but thats my story.....and I'm sticking to it...🍸(y)
