I’m new to the site. Looking for honest advise from a non sale man. I am trading my b3000hsdcc with bh77. I feel I need a larger cab and bigger toy. My question is. This tractor will be used for grass cutting (72” finish mower). And wood cutting 90% of time. I’ve looked at both l3560 & l4060 cans with la805 72” buckets. The 4060 is so much larger in size. Question do I really need a 4060 when using a la805 loader and backhoe or is the l3560 cab fine? I’m trying to avoid the pucker factor also. I appreciate any help or advice.

Welcome to the site Spenaver! The first thing is I have upgraded several times over the years and always regretted not going LARGER. I have the L3560HSTC with the BH92 and love it. The only reason I didn't go for the L4060 is like you say, size, it wouldn't fit my barn. The height of the L3560 fits with a half inch clearance. The extra HP and stability of the 4060 would have been nice as I have a lot of hills and a L O N G gravel driveway with a steep hill. Every tractor I have had boggs down going up it, including the 3560, but does much better in low mid range. I'm sure there will be lots of comments to come, so weigh them out and good luck in whatever you choose.

I haven't seen them side by side, but specs say the L4060 is about 6" longer and wider and about 250 lbs heavier. I'm happy with my L3560 with the LA805 and BH77 but both have been capacity limiting on a few things I've done, where the L4060 with the LA1055 and BH92 wouldn't have been.
I saw those posts. My garage door is 10***8217;. But I just keep reading more hp more hp. That all bring said should I up grade my finish mower to 84***8221; if I go with L4060 cab? I***8217;m trying not to get caught up with the idea it only a little more $$$. I do believe there is a stopping point. Again thanks for you inputs.

I bought "enough tractor" a few times since building here about 30 years ago. The last tractor is an L4240HSTC we found just about a year ago. It replaces an L3200HST with a custom cab. The HP of the L3200 was sufficient for the 6' RFM.
I wanted a wider mower and A/C. Figuring another 5 horses for the A/C and another for the wider deck meant the search would be for a 40-ish HP tractor. Worked great and the LA854 loader picks up a ton. It turns shorter than the smaller tractor it replaces.
I wouldn't give up the 5 or 7 or whatever HP. It represents 20 percent of the capability. Yes, I know, you can't use any more power than you can apply to the ground without spinning the tires. I have hills, and am glad for the HP and the HST Plus.

I'm bumping 100 PTO horsepower and sometimes that isn't enough but it enough for my wallet.

Just to clarify a bit. The L4060 does not come with the larger loader, still the 805. You need to bump of to the L4760 (big price jump) to get that. If are considering the L3560 I would also look at the L3560 "limited edition" as well. About $2500 cheaper then standard L3560 and really aren't giving up any nineties that I can see.

Thanks for the clarification. That means you can't get a better loader or backhoe by going up to the L4060 from the L3560.
I pulled the trigger and ordered a L4060 grand cab with la805 loader and bh92 with mechanics thumb. My next question, is it worth adding the rear work lights to have the switch and wires? Want to add LEDs at some point in the future?

If the L4060 is like my L3560, the wires are all there. You just buy the switch and the lights and plug them in.
If you work in the dark or early/late hours, then yes the lights are worth it. I worked one time in the dark and quickly realized that I wanted the rear lights. My wife was kind enough to buy them for me because I was being cheap and trying to save a few bucks.
May be too late, but if memory serves the L4060 can be configured with a larger capacity L1055 loader. I was not able to confirm this with a quick search, but you may want to ask the dealer. I have been satisfied with the standard loader, but I don't do a lot of heavy work with it.
As far as lights, as mentioned, all of the 60 series tractors will come pre wired but without switches. Same with the radio, and likely wire for defrosters (not in the glass though).
I ordered my L4060 with front / rear lights and radio before realizing they were pre wired. I only regret ordering the radio. I wanted a plug and play solution to adding 100w LED lighting (used existing brackets).

Simple math...you have a cab with heat....and you have a "fall/winter" season that only gives you maybe 9hrs of "daylight" ...if you plan to work in the winter, good lighting is pretty much a must. Plus have you ever heard someone say "darn...I wish I had less lighting on my..." whatever... ? me NEITHER.
I purchased the L4060 grand cab. I currently have a land pride fdr2572 finish mower. The rear tires are set at about 71”. Should I move up a mover in size? 84”?
I run an 84" Befco on my L4060, and L3410 before that.

I'd mow the ground you have with the mower you have and see about the maneuverability when attached to your new tractor. Then decide if another foot is worth it. Don't forget to trim the trees that might whack into the mirrors and glass! The extra length of your new tractor might affect what you can mow around. If all you have is 5 acres perfectly square and flat, then the only consideration is time mowing. If you hate mowing, bigger is better. Me, I like mowing and hate trimming.
Congrats! I bought and re-furbed a Caroni 10" RFM and I love it. Assuming the 4060 is similar to my older 4240, you'll be surprised how nimble such a large-looking tractor can be.
