Congratulations, I think your B2301 will be just fine for your needs. It'll do about anything a B2601 or B2650 will but might take just a bit more time, and spending more time on your tractor isn't such a bad thing IMO.:D My B7500 is probably similar to what your getting only 21hp vs your 23 and it's amazed me how much work it'll do.

Thanks! I almost bought the other color (green) because my uncle gets a large discount. But this dealer in South Carolina put together a package for me that I couldn't pass up. I'm leaving at 5AM to go pick it up.

I got the 2301 this year, about 100 hrs now and I'm completely satisfied with it.
more clearance than the bx, same fel load range as the 2601.
not to big, not two small sorta like the goldilocks of the compact tractor world.
just right!

Picked it up today and couldn't be happier. Made me sad to park it int he garage, but I've already got a list of chores to knock out tomorrow!

I have an L3301 and it is too heavy to do lawn work. Even with wide rear tires it sinks in and the knobby tires tear up the grass. I cut about 8 acres of grass with a Bad Boy 60" zero-turn. It beats the hell out of lawn tractors The only problem with the L3301 is they don't make hay equipment for it.

First let me say I don't Hay. I use a rotary mower to keep my field mowed.
But I do know folks who do Hay so my knowledge of haying is limited. BUT I always thought the tractor was one part of haying. The attachment being used was the other part. Mower, conditioner , tedder , bailer, hay trailer all things used behind the tractor to 'hay'. So your post about not making hay equipment for your tractor leaves me at a loss. But as I said I don't hay but hundreds of real farmers here do.
Love A New Kubota by the way. Enjoy it.

WFM,
I agree, the words tractor and haying go together. When I brought the tractor I was not thinking about hay but they just put in a pipeline that cleared a 100 foot wide lane kitty-corner across my back 10 acres. So I did a quick check on haying implements. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but Kubota and Land Pride do not list any haying implements for the L- series. There might be some other brands out there but I am a newbie and I am not aware of them. Personally, I prefer the way my uncle did it (nr Waterville, Maine, no less) with a single blade side cutter and square baler, or hay rack lifting the hay into a truck but I am showing my age. As a kid, I loved hay season.

I've been really happy with the purchase. I've already mowed all 14 acres and I've started working on the driveway. Brought it home brand new on Saturday and now it's sitting at 17 hours.

I do have a question though. This bucket is 65" across. I can't seem to find one online that matches that dimension. From what I see there's 48", 55" and 60".
