I've had good luck with mine (53" BETSTCO FH-EFG135) medium duty with hammers. It does the job on grass and brush. I only use it approx 2-3x/year. I paid just slightly over $1K for it in 2019. Replaced with Kevlar belts once (my fault for not adjusting them). If I had to use one more frequently, I may have gone with the Bunny top? (del Morino?).

I was going slow, since the grass and weeds were so thick, and bogging the BX23S.

I know part of my problem is having the cut height to high, from my reading flails like to cut close to the ground, but that puts the hammers in danger of striking rocks, of which I have many.
Guess I was expecting golf course from my waist high weeds, probably not possible.
